Alastair McFarlane

I'm an engineering leader based in West Calder, Scotland. I've worked in software since 2009, starting as a developer, then DevOps, and more recently running engineering teams as Head of Engineering and CTO.

Right now I'm on the Tooling team at the Apache Software Foundation, working on Apache Trusted Releases, which helps Apache projects publish releases that people can verify.

I also build small apps under McFarlane Apps, and help run the CTO Craft mixers in Edinburgh. Outside of that I love open source, and tinkering with smart home software and hardware.
